I've tried many sites, eharmony.com, pof.com, christianmingle.com and they all ended up giving me irrelevant matches that ended up just wasting my time.

I have spent most of the last 15 years building my business and thus have not had a lot of time to date. At 39 have finally been able to slow down enough and let the people who work for me take care of most of the day to day operation. Really want to meet someone, get married and start a family before I get too old. My problem is that the few women have went out with (been using online dating site) just seem to be interested in my money more then in myself. Have went out with about 7 different women over the past year and after 3rd or 4th date it becomes apparent they are more into my money then into me. Have been thinking of making up something as being what I do for a living. Also changing my online dating profile to reflect this same thing. Not that really want to lie but prefer to meet someone that wants me for me not me for the money.
I have to admit am not the best looking guy in the world and not looking for some super model either. But want to meet someone who has head on straight, good personality and as stated not going out with me just because of what I have. Not sure have really described this well but in basic terms would be wrong to maybe just act like I work at the company I own as maybe just a developer or something rather then the owner? **** to enter a relationship on a lie but maybe stretching the truth isn't a bad thing?

I've been laid off for 2 months I still dont know when, where, or what type of work I will do in the future. I have lost focus on my studies, I took the semester off because I didn't have the tuition money, I'm living at home, have a little money, and depressed in a way. But I still have had the chance to date here and there, actually I just broke with my ex a month ago, I think it had to do with my new lifestyle.

um okay i know this sounds really pathetic but i likes this guy for 4 yrs now and just recently he asked me out and and of course i said yes but he's never had a gf and ive never had a bf. so we dont kno what to do. and my friends are like:
you dont do anything with him hes going to get bored.
yes i kno that but i donno wat to do like we're both like really new with this dating business so we're like really nervious around each other and we talk alot but thats it. i mean no hugging no kissing nothing. and i dont want to make the first move and freak him out. what should i do?

So I'm a senior in high school and I was wondering what girls typically look for in men as so far I've had very little luck in the dating business haha. I realize the question is very general so I'll personalize it by giving a little information about myself and asking for your opinions; I'm a pretty outspoken guy who is funny, kinda of a class clown, and very confident, but not very physically attractive haha.
I have a few specific questions as well. Do girls, in general, like muscles a lot? I work out almost on a daily basis and was just curious. Also do high school girls typically like more assertive or passive, mellow guys? I have a friend that i really like, but i find that I am allowing her to walk all over me because i am too busy trying to please her and getting her to like me by obeying her every whim.

As a single guy in my late 20s, I wanna say this. Dating business professionals, websites, relatives, parents, have always told me to reveal as little as possible about myself. And this is sometimes hard for me because I like to talk quite a bit.
And so I wind up finding that either 1 of 2 things happens.
1) I talk not enough and soooo much of my eccentricism never gets revealed, at which point a girl moves on past me knowing little to nothing about me or
2) I talk a lot but what I have to say gets no attention. Instead the attention is focussed on "he talks a lot!"
So I tried to mellow down to talking reasonably often, but not masking myself completely. And then the girl gave me her email address and I wrote her a short email asking her about her siblings and things.
No response for 5 days so I write an honest response, saying "I know I'm breaking a few dating rules, but you're not writing me back anyway it seems so I really don't care. "I really really liked you from the start because of ____________ and _______ and I wish I got to know more about you and vice versa. And I told her how she's a great individual that I really admired.
But it's too late, why is it too late?
I come to realize it's hardly romantic when getting past the beginning always sours before I can know enough according to the girl to seem like I can even make a case that she would be a good match for me.

If you've ever seen the movie Hitch, you have an idea of what a "Date Doctor" is. Somebody who helps clueless, lovable losers, turn their lives around and find love.
I used to be one of those lovable losers, but through the tutelage of a mentor I turned it around and have become successful with women. Now I am the Date Doctor to my friends and acquaintances. I help them improve themselves to become more successful with women, and occasionally I do the same for women.
How can I turn this into a form of income? This certainly would not be my primary job, but rather a side source of income while I go to school. What kind of legal concerns do I have? Would I have to pay taxes on this income, even if it was just a referral based business?

If you are just dating someone….and they are on a business trip….and you havent saw them in about a week, is it ok to tell them you miss them?
I dont want to scare him away by saying that….or is that being too forward and showing him I have a few feelings for him. I havent dated in years…just came out of a long marriage that's why I ask.
